FlowerFoundry Quick Guide for Florists
Welcome to FlowerFoundry! Here’s what you need to know in simple terms before selling with us:
1. Keeping your info up to date
- You must keep your product listings accurate — what’s in stock, prices.
- You can list anything you want to list, just no alcohol at all.
- Customers rely on this info, so please update it regularly.
2. Handling orders
- When an order comes in, it’s your responsibility to prepare and deliver it on time.
- Orders will be sent to the email you registered with.
- You must confirm delivery in the system once completed.
- If delivery cannot be made, select the relevant option on the platform. This will trigger notifications to both the sender and recipient (e.g. “no answer”).
- Same-day delivery cut-off: 12 noon. Orders after this time will automatically roll to the next delivery day.
- FlowerFoundry doesn’t make or deliver flowers — you do!
3. Weekly sales report
- Every Friday, you need to check your dashboard and process a withdrawal, this will trigger a payment run on our side.
- You need to check the report and confirm it matches your records.
Payments
- Once the report is approved (or auto-approved), you’ll be paid within 7 business days.
- Payments are made directly to your bank account.
Fees
- FlowerFoundry applies a fixed 10% mark-up on your listed prices. This will not change.
- Once you reach an average of 40 orders per month for 3 months and due to this volume Flower Foundry will charge a 2.5% off your list price.
- If during this volume discount period your sales drop to less than 35 orders per month for 3 months we will drop the 2.5% until you reach the threshold again.
- A subscription/hosting fee of R100/month applies from month 4 onwards.
- Any changes to the subscription fee will be communicated in writing with 3 months’ notice.
4. Ending our partnership
- Either of us can end this arrangement with 30 days’ written notice.
- We may suspend or remove florists who break the rules or damage FlowerFoundry’s reputation.

FlowerFoundry Terms & Conditions (Florists)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the FlowerFoundry online platform (“Platform”) by florists (“Florist”, “you”). By registering and listing products on the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. About FlowerFoundry
FlowerFoundry provides an online marketplace where florists can sell products to customers. The Platform facilitates sales, payments, and reporting, in exchange for a hosting fee. Flower Foundry will mark up the listed prices that you provide by 10%
2. Florist Responsibilities
As a Florist on the Platform, you agree to:
- Keep your product listings accurate and up to date, including stock availability, pricing and delivery areas.
- Select a delivery radius upon registration (may be updated later).
- Delivery fees are fixed by radius:
- Less than 15 km = R100
- Greater than 15km but less than 40km = R135 .
FlowerFoundry does not mark up delivery charges. - Ensure product quality and delivery within promised timeframes.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including consumer protection and health & safety standards.
Orders & Fulfilment
- Orders are sent to your registered email.
- Same-day delivery cut-off: 12 noon. Orders after cut-off are automatically moved to the next delivery day.
- Once delivery is complete, you must mark the order as “delivered” on the Platform.
- If delivery fails, you must select the relevant option (e.g. “no answer”), which will notify the sender and recipient.
- FlowerFoundry accepts no liability for late, incomplete, or incorrect deliveries.
3. Sales Reporting
- Every Friday, please go to the dashboard to withdraw your sales, this will generate an invoice to Flower Foundry.
- You must review and verify the report against your records.
4.Payment Terms
- Payments are made within 7 business days of report approval (manually by you or automatic).
- Payments are made directly to your nominated bank account.
Fees & Commission
- FlowerFoundry applies a fixed 10% mark-up on your listed product prices.
- Once you reach an average of 40 orders per month for 3 months and due to this volume Flower Foundry will charge a 2.5% off your list price.
- If during this volume discount period your sales drop to less than 35 orders per month for 3 months we will drop the 2.5% until you reach the threshold again.
- A subscription/hosting fee of R100/month applies from month 4.
- Any fee changes will be communicated with at least 3 months’ notice.
5. Limitation of Liability
- FlowerFoundry provides the Platform as a service and is not responsible for the quality of products, late deliveries, or customer complaints arising from the Florist’s services.
- FlowerFoundry liability to you is limited to the amount of commission actually earned from your sales in the 3 months preceding any claim.
6. Termination
- Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days’ written notice.
- FlowerFoundry may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if your conduct negatively impacts the reputation of the Platform.
7. General
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
